What About The Martyrs?

More Prophecy Being Fulfilled!

My heart goes out to the persecuted believers around the  world this morning. Join me in prayer for them would you? That they be covered in the grace and mercy of the loving God who gives us strength to endure every trial. Who is able to deliver our soul from the grip of tyranny and cruelty and who is also able to glorify His name despite the pain and sorrow that is wrought by the hands of the wicked.
Let us not turn a blind eye to their suffering but consider their situation as if it would be our own family or even ourselves as they are our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Rev. 20:4 "And I saw thrones, and they that sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years".

This scenario of the future events in heaven from the book of the Revelation now have a historical reality on earth, the likes of which are being played out this very day and the two ends of this story are drawing closer together. The beheadings and tortures are occurring in mass quantities and in many different countries around the world. It is my hope to bring awareness to their or rather "our" situation and to keep us sober minded and to remember to ask ourselves "What About The Martyrs?"

It is a great thing to keep thinking positive and I am a true believer in "the power of life and death being in the tongue" but when we turn that into a name it claim it kind of gospel message then we are missing the mark by miles, talk about the broad way. Let us remember the verse in Rom 14:17  "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost". God is the provider in every situation and is able to give us above and beyond all that we can ask or think. That is to say that He will give righteousness, peace and joy in abundance- above and beyond all that we can ask or think as He also supplies are every need according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus no matter the severity of our trials.

So many times I have heard people say that they were believing God for "certain material things" and that is all well and good, in fact I tried that one on myself until faced with the question.. "What About The Martyrs ?  But aren't even the wicked given these things in abundance. The trouble with this theology is if the bottom should fall out of our world we are at risk of loosing everything even our faith, but the thing that separates the true believer and the unbeliever is the covering of Godly righteousness, peace that surpasses all understanding and joy overflowing and even if the world crumbles at our feet we will not fear for we know that He is with us. These things, as we read their stories, the martyrs have even until the end.

So what about the martyrs then? They are the work of God unto His glory and are the thick cloud of witnesses for all of us to see that we can refrain from entering
into sin even under the threat of blood. If we will keep our minds on that fact then we will not be easily shaken for if God is for us then who shall we fear.

May the God who is able to keep you from falling give you righteousness, peace and joy in abundance and ......above all else LoveEachOther and trust in Jesus!
