Talk About Hell Fire And Brimstone Preaching

So the Lord was crucified, then He gave up His Spirit and died. His body was brought to the tomb and the disciples thought that He was being laid to rest. Of course you know the rest of the story, that He rose again, but what about in between that time. Where did He go when He died, do you know?

He went to Hell! So His suffering went beyond the flesh, the natural, moving to the super natural and His Spirit entered hell where the rebellious were being held until their day of judgment. The proof can be found in many places but lets look at 1 Peter.

1 Peter  3:18-22

Christ’s Suffering and Ours

18 "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit, 19 by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison (Hell), 20 who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water. 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism( the symbolism of  repentance) (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers having been made subject to Him."

Whereby He delivered our sins and in His resurrection gained the victory over death and the grave and having authority over all now sits at the right hand of the God of Glory.

Praise the Lord! I don't know about you but this sounds like a real reason to shout because now we have one who sits with the creator who understands us from the cradle to the grave and beyond and I for one will hold onto Him with all my strength and I hope you will too.
The Love of G-d goes beyond the grave

Go with God and above all else LoveEachOther and trust in Jesus!
