A Path Less Traveled or Not

I see going through life kind of like this... The path through life is like taking a trip, a long journey, lets just say, and in order to get to our destination or to the end of the trip we can take any path we wish,' one of three.

Each path has a different scenario... although each one seems to go in the same direction, they all end at a different place. The highway, the way of the wilderness and the narrow way. Now,  I'm certain that you know exactly which one leads to God, but I still want to tell this story because there are other treasures to dig up as we go... OK...

So the broad way, the High way & usually easy way is obviously... the path that leads to destruction... and the narrow path is the path that leads to heaven according to the word of God, right? Right! OK, so then, what about the path in the wilderness? This path is quite unique, but boy let me tell ya it is filled with, rock slides, fallen trees, mud holes, quicksand, thorns, briars, evil creatures, wild beasts of every sort and villains that will steal, kill, and destroy every hope and every ray of sunshine that we would hope to posses or carry with us. And if we, in the middle of all of this, should get a chance to rest . We will then get to deal with the pestilence of the place... mosquito's, and ticks, and every kind of creepy crawly thing that there is to deal with, sounds great right?...

of course, I'm being a little sarcastic ... But you would be surprised how many choose to take this path, and I'm able to describe this wonderful wonderland so vividly because I spent so many years there, and by the time I was done I looked a little haggard, I think that this pic that was put out by the rock 103 is kind of a self portrait after my journey on the wilderness road.   ... and it is my hope to call everyone from out of that way of pain and suffering onto the narrow path, which is not so easy itself, after all it is the way of affliction, for he who turns from sin suffers in the flesh. but it is the ONLY path that leads us all to the the gates of heaven and the broad way leads everyone who goes that way to a giant cliff, that all who go that way will soon go over at 100 miles an hour, in the fog, to their destruction...

Well the question then is who in their right mind would choose to go that way, the way of the wilderness? and that's a great question.

See, no one actually chooses this path but is the path that they end up on when they are undecided, and OH how great are the struggles within this wilderness place. The next Question to answer is when does this trial and difficulty end ? The answer is ... when we get tired of all of that trouble and get fighting mad at the enemy and determine that we are not going to live like that any more. Then the cry comes to all of those in the wilderness and to all on the broad way and says "Choose this day which God you will serve". Then we call on the name of the Lord, kneel down & pray for forgiveness & mercy & strength and stand up and attack and fight our way to the Lord ...who stands on the narrow path shining His light to all who search for Him.... It is never easy to get to that place but the Lord has forged through the wilderness and blazed a trail for us to follow through the hedge of protection to never go back to that way again, then marching unto the path to glory.... does that make sense?

So the call comes to all who read this, this day, and the Lord says "Choose you this day whom you will serve" and I pray it will be the Lord and not the gods of this world and that you will run to that narrow path and follow Him and then .... above all else LoveEachOther and trust in Jesus!

Shalom!
